After a tedious search for the right preschool, my husband and I were drawn to Edgewood Academy not only for their focus on academics, but for their emphasis on developing the “whole child.” Edgewood’s small class sizes create a learning environment in which every child has an opportunity to succeed. In addition, the school focuses on character-building and works with families to address their student’s specific needs. My children were exposed to physical fitness, field trips, and unique hands-on experiences which could not be replicated in any other environment. Due to the attentiveness of the educators at Edgewood Academy, both of my children were able to read and solve math problems at a level beyond expectations, which will no doubt give them a leg up for the future.

We appreciate the fact that Edgewood focuses on both the social and academic development of the children there.   Both of our children have learned to be considerate and caring while exhibiting curiosity in learning because Edgewood makes learning fun for the children.

My daughter is thriving within this virtual environment and she is still able to connect with the other students in her class.  We have found ways as a class to continue to celebrate special occasions and moments together virtually without feeling like my daughter is missing out on anything.  I am confident that once we get to a place where I’m comfortable for my daughter to be in a school physically again, she will be ahead of the game and transition socially with ease.
